(Why, What & How of Thinking)
Allah has blessed us with so many blessings no doubt but the most powerful among them is our “Thinking” ability. This is something which differentiates us from other living beings. Whatever happens in our life, good or bad, big or small, wrong or right, we have the inclination to start thinking on that. Thinking process sometimes harm your mental health not because something bad is happening in your life but due to over thinking and too much stress as a result , if we know it’s out come we never choose to think on that . When something reprehensible is happening with your life and you don’t want to think on it but still you do, this creates conflict between your willingness and your thinking. This happens just because we don’t know what to think, get commands over our own choice of thinking and how to overcome it.
Here I develop a model of thinking which I wanted to share with you;

WDDT “Model of thinking”
These are three great steps which every one of us should understand and get command over it. If we go through the history, we will find that great people did the same thing differently from others and that was utilizing their brain intelligently, they knew what to think, they had commend on their choices, and also knew the process of impactful thinking. WDDT “Model of thinking” is something I amplify for myself and hope so it will work magically for you. There is a great saying One’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions. – Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. I have broadened my mind by thinking differently, intelligently &sharply and want you to do the same.
Let’s try to discover what and how of thinking…….
Why of thinking:
Whatever you are thinking you must know the reason behind it, because normal people start anything by asking what? Good people ask how and great people start with why? In life whenever you have the answer of why you can do wonders, it gives you the reasons of investing your time and energy. It clears your vision and helps you to act accordingly. First step in thinking process is to know why you are thinking on specific thing. Should you? Should you not? Will it benefit you or not? Are you thinking to learn something new or to get some lessons? Are you thinking to bring smile on your face or to keep the anger alive about someone or something, are you doing it for the sake of someone else or doing it for your own benefit? Is it your wish to think or someone else force you to do so? You are thinking just because you have nothing else to do or you are thinking it because you have few last minutes to decide. Are you thinking about your first love and making sure that you never forget him/her or you are thinking as you don’t want to forget this worst experience and wants to keep learning from it. While sitting in classroom and thinking about your others matters, are you doing it because you feel class is not important comparatively or you are doing it because it has less emotional connection and a lot of such examples from our lives which we experience daily. Always keep the why in the mind because if there is why in your life there is a way in your life.
Deciding what to think:
Well, talking about the thinking pattern, it is as simple as driving a car, as there are certain things which you have to do before getting your car started. If you don’t know how and where to place the key you cannot move forward, the same is the case with when you put car in gears and road respectively, you must know the process, as we know starting the car is not an end result but it’s just the first step. The process will be completed if you drive it smoothly in huge traffic. Let’s apply this in thinking process, you know what to think key is the answer of your thinking which is generating “What”, your action of putting car into gears and than driving smoothly is the answer to your thinking which is generating “How”. And doing it greatly makes you champion.
So here we are one page is;

Let’s understand one thing and that is, you cannot use your mind as per your style, mind has its own way of working and we must get familiar with it. It can be done by doing friendship with your mind, to make it happy, grow it by giving positive signals to it. Mind is not a normal box but the billion dollar one. Whatever is happening in your life you suddenly got signals (positive or negative) in the box and you start reacting to it. To deal with such signals you need to know the process of thinking otherwise it can have huge negative impact on you. A mind can misguide and can lead you towards any mishap. You don’t need to think on everything that is happening around you, your time is the most precious thing you have, and you don’t need to waste it on any random things. If you once had a relationship with anyone and he/she just left you all alone, so, here your mind will start thinking on all the good and bad times you had, which you don’t need to recall anymore. Remember one thing past is there just to teach you nothing else it can do for you. If you are giving your time to your past and as we believe that life is all about moving forward then you are faraway and the last one to reach your goal. Life is like a marathon race where you have to run fast, thinking on the steps you are taking and the step you will take after that, thinking on saving your breath for the last run, which is thinking on future and focusing on it, and avoiding all the mental and environmental distractions as well.
Intelligent process of thinking include not wasting much time on what had happened, it will hurt you only and people around you will say,” don’t think on that” as thinking will create tension and make you stressed. It will affect your brain and so on and forth, but as per my view this is wrong. Thinking on your past is never a bad thing. It’s only Why, What and How of thinking which makes it good or bad. One step further, thinking actually is an indicator that you are alive. Only alive souls have the ability to think a dead soul can’t.
Now the question is you have to choose on which thing you want to think as this has to be your choice not by happening. This is what I called command on your brain. You will direct your brain by saying “hey stop! I don’t want you to think this, instead think on this let me find some fruitful thing for you” because as our body needs food for growing, our brain requires it as well. Here you have to make sure that the mental food is healthy to your life and brain. Let’s talk about this, If you fail in any of your paper, failed in your first interview, you had a bad presentation in your class, your teacher insulted you in front of whole class, your first love rejected you, you are lacking confidence and don’t have the boldness to stand in front of the whole class and speak your words, it’s still ok because it’s the happening which can have bad impact on your brain but it’s the reflection which can mentally torture you. Taking the first example, student failed in paper will think about this for many days. Instead doing this he/she should direct his mind to think on what positive thing he/she can learn from this, how he/she will get better grades doing study and get the desired grade, think on that, imagining & feeling that will give positive feeling his/herself. Now in this case, thinking is fruitful and it’s a kind of investment into your life. And if you are cursing yourself for failure which had happened, you will get nowhere but just to demolish yourself and de-motivate yourself. This is what I call deciding “what to think” As I said earlier it has to be your choice what to think and what to avoid.
Deciding to think:
Whatever you have to choose to think, there has to be strong decision backing your choice. Most of the time we choose things in our life but they are just remains although and one day will be forgotten. Here a strong decision of thinking and making reflections is very important. What if you have choose to think how you can improve your health, your grades or to forget your love but it is not backed by a strong decision to set alone and have reflections on possible ways to get rid of the situation. If this does not happen it will be like just a wish of doing thing. For example if I say I wish I become a billionaire one day. Such statement is nothing but a weak wish and misguiding your own self. So, deciding to think can be seen if you give time to yourself & making sure that you are setting alone & in un-distractive environment.
How to think:
Whatever and whenever you are trying to do anything in your life there will be steps, method, process and art of doing it or professionally it’s called standard of procedure SOP. As I mentioned earlier, controlling your thinking is very important. After successfully deciding what you need to think,it’s time to write down the steps.

Sitting alone and give your mind a space to think is the key to get the desired results. Most of people cannot think and concentrate due to distractions. For example I am writing this article sitting alone, switched off my cell, my laptop on table, hand free on my ears listening Abida Parveen’s “Yar ko humne jabaja daikha” (favorite of someone close to me & now I am addicted to this song……use to hear a lot).
It is just to create the milieu for my mind. Here, I am giving my mind a space, time, environment and positive mental food, to give me what I want which is to find the words for my thought (article). It allows my mind to expand the thoughts and concentrate deeply.
Focusing on the results what you want to achieve from this thinking or reflection process is a key to success. Great book “7 habits of effective people” says you want to start anything you have to do it by keeping end in the mind. Well, the same is the case with this one too, knowing what you want to achieve will give you clarity and can make the process easier for you.
Deeply and strongly imagining all the things which are running in your mind, consider it like a real one is the best tool to create the reality before the reality. Allah blessed us with this great power of imagination. We can utilize amazingly if we know the worth and depth of it. Being there or imagining about can be the same things if you have the great expertise on your imagination. While seeing the future, you must write down notes to centralize you thinking process. It will remind you of what you have done in the process which can give clear indication of your thinking performance. Think on those things which can make you feel good about yourself; it will give positive feeding to your brain. If you want to give up any habit you’ll think like, start thinking about what’s going wrong which is not allowing you to get this habit out of your life.
Think as you are setting after 3 year and adopted a particular habit which you want to feel that. For example if you are lacking confidence, you need to think that suddenly one day you woke up and started speaking amazingly and confidently, next day you are speaking in front of thousands of people, the feeling of that situation will actually give a push to achieve that. Now think about all those things which are not allowing you from doing this and stopping in reality. By doing this you can identify your weaknesses, as knowing your weaknesses is the first step towards overcoming it. So, in this situation you are thinking meaningfully and having a command on your thinking pattern and you are directing your brain and commanding it as you know the process if it.
Another example is if you want to get something in your life, and putting in this process is simple one, which is to set alone and draw a mental sketch of your ideal/goal. Think deep &deeper, feel the exact image. Feeling something can makes you love that, and yes exactly that is required. Only falling in love with your dream can help you to get it& only intelligent people can make it happen.
Learning outcome:
